Handlers must be active FBDCA members in good standing and the dogs must be AKC registered French Bulldogs. Members seeking consideration for these awards must submit an application. The time frame for consideration shall be from January 1st to December 31st of the year before the National Specialty. These awards are given annually at the FBDCA Annual Awards Banquet. Some of the awards are not automatically given and require an application to be submitted to the Honors & Awards Committee.
Some awards are given annually and others are for lifetime achievement. The French Bull Dog Club of America provides various means in which members and their dogs can recognize their achievements.
